About Whisper Ranches
Whisper Ranches is the outgrowth of a dream. A dream of owner, Linda Maass and her late husband, Dan. Linda and Dan both grew up on farms in the mid-west and were raised with a passion to respect and effectively utilize the land and natural resources of their community. Their dream is to bring the feeling of farm life back to many communities through building Barndominiums in sustainable communities. ​
As Linda, a professional engineer and Dan, a Certified Public Accountant, dreamed about starting a development and building company focused on sustainable homes and communities and talked about their goals for the company, they were reminded of this passage from Job 4:12 - A word was secretly brought to me; my ears caught a whisper of it.
As they prayed over this passage the following was placed upon Linda’s heart.
“He whispered my dream that I may know the purpose to which I can give to the world so that many find joy in living in a warm and inviting home. Creating unique dwelling places that are restful and a reflection of the creativity that touches each family’s passions and individuality is my dream. Each home will be crafted with a whisper of grace and peacefulness, encompassing the environment around the frame of the home."​

Throughout their 23-year marriage, Linda and Dan owned, renovated, and flipped many homes. With every home they purchased, their goal was to ensure that the homes they owned would be more welcoming and appealing when sold than they were when they were purchased.
In short, the mission of Whisper Ranches is to build unique homes and communities that feel like family, creating warm relaxing places to call home. Our homes will not feel like metal meetings but will have a luxury feel that is cozy and inviting, so people will want to stay a while. These sustainable buildings will provide a long-lasting centerpiece for family and community.
